Open-Studio
( Ages 8+ years)
(Drop-off Studio Program)
Dandelion Creative Space is excited to offer Open-Studio Art Classes.
Formerly known as “Tinker with Art Lab”, will be open at the new location, starting in April 13th, 2025!
Are you wondering, what exactly is “open studio” ? Well, it is a time we set aside for unstructured, wildly creative, and fun time for children to develop their own creative style and to develop their own critical thinking skills! The studio will be open for them to explore and pursue whatever their little hearts desire! Your child will get to choose how he paints, glues, or glitters his time away. The possibilities are endless!
Parents, during this time you can drop-off your child at Dandelion Creative Space, for up to 90 minutes. This means you, can finally run those errands you have been meaning to get to, or possibly meet up with your gal pals for lunch down below at the Chesire Bakery on the 2nd floor of the Mad Hatter Play Cafe! This time is yours, so enjoy it!
We will always have in-house artists on hand to assist your child in all of their artistic endeavors while they are here in the studio!
Pre-registration is required before first drop off. To save time, fill out our online form to speed up registration process. Cost is $20- for 90 minutes per participant.
Explore Art
Studio is open and children are allowed access to many fun and different materials! They will be encouraged to explore their interests and to try new things with the support from our amazing Art Teachers! The best part of all may be that all of the mess is made here in the studio and your kitchen at home is clean and paint free!
Art Lab is Flexible
The Art Lab may be the best time in the day for both you and your child! We offer many different times during the week to ensure that it is accessible for even the most busy family schedules.
Positive Social Environment
At Dandelion Creative Space, we strive to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment. We welcome our differences and celebrate each other as individual artists! Children will get to see other art and explore their interests side by side others doing the same!
The Importance of
Social Interaction…
With today’s “Zoom Culture” and the need for Hybrid classes in school, it is important that we as a community prioritize opportunities to socialize and connect with each other (with the proper precautions, of course). '
Social interaction is one of the most important factors for the health and development of everybody, from young children to the elderly. Positive social interactions have a wide range of both physical and mental benefits, including increased cognitive ability, good mental health, communication skills, independence and improved physical health.
